Here’s another “Italian bite” I want to share with you. This time it is not about design, but about food (so, it is literally a bite!). The other day I went to a pumpkin patch with the kids to select our pumpkins as we do every year, and while they were focusing on finding the perfect one to carve, I was focusing on finding the best flowers to eat… Yes, pumpkin flowers are a delicious dish you can easily make and whose success is guaranteed. First, you need to find flowers that are not withered, and that possibly are still closed. The key is to cook them as soon as possible, which is either the same day or the day after at the latest. I’m not going to give you a recipe with an exact amount of ingredients, because I did it following my instinct… But since it is super easy to make, here’s what you have to do:

1. Wash the flowers.

2. Pat them dry.

3. Sprinkle them with flour.

3. Dip them in the beaten eggs (2-3 eggs depending on how many flowers you have picked. Don’t forget the salt!).

4. Fried them.

You can also mix the flour and the egg altogether and simply dip the flowers in the batter (easier).
And this is what was left, fortunately I was able to save the last 4 pieces for the photo…

So, the next time you go to a pumpkin patch, look for the bright yellow flowers!
